Volunteering

Your community needs you, now.

The skills, knowledge and life experiences of our older people are a precious and valuable resource and the ICONNECT project can help you share them with your local community by becoming a volunteer minibus/social car driver or a passenger assistant.

You will receive full accredited training to national MiDAS standards, a mileage allowance if you are using your own car, a uniform and a refreshment allowance during your volunteering.

If you enjoy driving, getting out and about, meeting people and being appreciated then becoming an ICONNECT volunteer is for you.

Your volunteering will make a huge difference to your community improving older people’s access to essential services, social activities and providing a life-line service to some of the most vulnerable and isolated older people across Co. Down and Co. Armagh.

You will be an integral part of our wider team, you will meet new friends, be introduced to and form lasting friendships with new older people’s groups and networks.

We recognise you have so much left to give – make the connection now, become an ICONNECT volunteer and help us make our community mobile.
